The best way to reach us is in writing. Messages sent through the contact form on this site come straight to the front desk, and we answer them in the order they arrive, usually within one working day and always within two.
What to include
If you are asking about a room, telling us the dates you have in mind and how many people are travelling saves an exchange of messages. If a particular characteristic matters to you, a quiet courtyard-facing room, a ground-floor room, or space for an extra bed, mention it in the first message and we will tell you what is actually available rather than what we would like to be available.
General enquiries
- Arrival times. Let us know if you expect to reach the city late; the desk is not staffed around the clock and we make arrangements in advance.
- Luggage. We can usually hold bags before check-in or after check-out, but confirm it with us first.
- Accessibility. The building is historic and the lift is small. Ask us and we will describe the constraints plainly.
- Lost property. Anything found in a room is kept for three months; write to us with the dates and a description.
Finding the hotel
The hotel is in central Riga, within walking distance of the Old Town and a manageable walk from the central railway and bus stations. Trams and trolleybuses run within a couple of minutes of the street. Taxis from the airport take around half an hour depending on traffic, and the airport bus reaches the city centre on a regular schedule through the day.
We are a small house and read every message ourselves, so please do not send the same enquiry several times over. If you have not heard back within two working days, something has gone wrong at one end or the other and it is worth writing again.
